Sales Engineer

Due to the continued growth of our UK team, we have an opportunity available for a UK Sales Engineer to join us. We are the industry standard CNC software simulation company, our products are used by a wide variety of manufacturing companies worldwide to simulate processes and improve efficiently while minimising downtime.

We are looking for a home based Sales Engineer for our South East region. Although you will be home based, you will also be required from time to time to travel abroad to take part in events and trade shows.

Location flexible, near to M23/M25 probably the most desirable location for this role.

Responsibilities

  • As a Sales Engineer you will pursue leads, qualify prospects and manage all aspects of the sales process for both new and existing customers.
  • Manage, maintain, and grow an existing account base focused on promoting company products and services.
  • Develop strong customer relationships at all levels, ensuring customer satisfaction and guaranteed after-sales support.
  • Responsible for development and delivery of sales presentations and product demonstrations at customer locations.
  • Prepare quotes and write customer implementation plans as appropriate.
  • Perform post-sale customer follow-up.
  • Maintain an accurate prospect and customer database.
  • Attend and present the technology at trade shows and symposiums.
  • Always represent the company in a professional and knowledgeable manner.
  • Able to be self-sufficient; be responsible for making your own travel arrangements, organise appointments etc

Desirable Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven sales experience in CNC machine tools, cutting tools, CAD/CAM or similar
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Hungry, driven and highly motivated to succeed
  • Willingness to travel
  • Practical working experience in CNC programming
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and MS Office applications
  • Proven Mechanical Engineering background
  • Valid UK driving license

In addition to the above, the following qualifications are desirable but not required:

  • Have completed a relevant Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship
  • Practical working CAD/CAM experience
  • BS/HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering
Technical Support Engineer

Due to the continued growth of our UK team, we have opportunities available for Technical Support Engineers to join us. We are the industry standard CNC software simulation company, our products are used by a wide variety of manufacturing companies worldwide to simulate processes and improve efficiently while minimising downtime.Ideal candidates need strong CNC skills and an aptitude for learning CAD/CAM.

If you are a motivated self-starter, enjoy technical challenges, solving complex CNC machine tool issues and are great at multi-tasking, you could be what we are looking for.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in maximizing benefits and implementation of VERICUT software
  • Provide technical support to customers, sales engineers, and partners
  • Conduct training and consulting at various locations
  • Build VERICUT Machine Configurations (VMCs)
  • Log and track software change requests

Experience/Skills

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Practical working experience in CNC machining and programming
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and MS Office applications
  • Strong project management skills
  • Enjoy frequent travel, often at short notice to customers in the UK and abroad, nights away from home are often necessary.

In addition to the above, the following are desirable but not required:

  • Experience and knowledge of Heidenhain, Siemens 840d and other CNC controls
  • Ability to hand write CNC code
  • Computer programming skills
  • Practical CAD/CAM experience with emphasis on CAM expertise
  • Post processor experience
  • Experience with VERICUT
  • Engineering degree or related field
